LTC Christopher Camphor


Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Camphor received his commission in the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps in 2000. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics from Tuskegee University. In his previous assignment, he served as the Director of Logistics (G4) for the Maneuver Center of Excellence, As the G4, he was responsible for logistics plans, policies, procedures, and partnerships maintaining a Mechanized Division’s worth of combat vehicles, aircraft, and support equipment in support of 70,000 Soldiers annually. 

During a Joint assignment tour, LTC Camphor served as the Sustainment Division Chief for the US Army Military District of Washington and led the Joint Logistics Operations Center under US Northern Command’s Joint Task Force National Capital Region. His responsibilities included management and oversight of sustainment operations for assigned Army forces as well as synchronizing Joint sustainment capabilities across NCR service component commands, government agencies and local authorities operating in the NCR Joint Operations Area.

LTC Camphor has held a variety of logistics assignments across multiple MACOMs. Highlights include: Brigade Support Operations Officer, 916th Sustainment Brigade, National Training Center; BCT (Bronco) and EAB (Goldminer) Logistics Observer-Coach-Trainer, Operations Group, National Training Center; Division Maintenance Officer, 1st Armored Division G4; Support Operations Officer, 142nd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 15th Sustainment Brigade; Logistics Operations Officer, 4th Infantry Division G4; Company Commander, B Field Maintenance Company, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division; and Battalion Maintenance Officer 1-67 Armor, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division

His overseas deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom: Phase 1 and 2, Liberation and Transition, (2003-2004); Operation Iraqi Freedom: Phase 4, Resolution (2005-2006); Operation Iraqi Freedom Phase 5 and 6, Surge and Sovereignty, (2008 to 2009). 

LTC Camphor’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Army Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Valorous Unit Award, and Army Meritorious Unit Citation Award.
