Master Sergeant Randolph E. Leyba assumed the duties as senior enlisted advisor of the Army Field Support Battalion-Germany June 2022.
He entered the U.S. Army on Feb. 6, 2000, as a 63B (wheel vehicle mechanic). He attended Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

MSG Leyba’s duty positions include: executive officer, first sergeant, logistics noncommissioned officer, mechanical maintenance operations NCO, inspector general NCO, forward logistical element NCO, senior maintenance supervisor, battalion motor sergeant, platoon sergeant, recruiter, company motor sergeant, squad leader, and team leader.
MSG Leyba has been deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2003-2004, and from 2009-2010; and, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan from 2011-2012.
His military education includes: Sergeant Major Academy class 72/Distant Learning course class 48 (currently enrolled), Advance Noncommissioned Officers course (Commandant’s List), Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course (Distinguished Honor Graduate), Primary Leadership Development Course (Commandant’s List), Demonstrated Master Logistician, Support Operations Course Phase 2, Company Commander/First Sergeant Course, Battle Staff (Commandant’s List), Command Post of the Future Course, Master Resilience Trainer Course, Inspector General Course, Combatives Level One, Army Recruiter School, Individual Readiness Training Course, Air Assault School, Combat Lifesaver Course, and Wheel Vehicle Recover Course.
MSG Leyba’s civilian education includes: an associate degree in general studies and a Bachelor of Science in management from the University of Phoenix; MSG Leyba is currently studying to pursue a Master in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

MSG Leyba was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He is married and has two children.
