MSG Felipe C. Muzquiz

Senior Enlisted Advisor

Master Sergeant Felipe C. Muzquiz assumed the duties as the senior enlisted adviser of the Army Field Support Battalion-Northeast Asia in August 2021.

MSG Muzquiz enlisted in the Army Aug. 11, 2004. He attended Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, graduating as a 63B Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic. He came to AFSBn-NEA from the 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas, where he served as the brigade support operations maintenance management NCO. He previously served in numerous leadership positions, including: squad leader, shop foreman, section sergeant, motor sergeant, platoon sergeant, material management NCO, maintenance control sergeant, military science instructor, senior maintenance adviser, and senior maintenance supervisor.

His other assignments include: Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 215th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; Texas A&M Corpus Christi Army Reserve Officers Training Corps, Corpus Christi, Texas; HHC, 1st Battalion, 58th Aviation Regiment, Fort Rucker, Alabama; Bravo Company, 201st Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Knox, Kentucky; Bravo Battery, 1st Battalion, 21st Field Artillery Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas; and Echo Forward Support Company, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

MSG Muzquiz’s deployments include two deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and two deployments to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

MSG Muzquiz’s military education includes the Basic Leader Course, the Advanced Leader Course, Senior Leader Course,  Master Leaders Course, Wheeled Vehicle Recovery Course, M-ATV MRAP Maintainers Course, Unit Movement Officers Course, TC-AIMS II Unit Movement Course, Army Retention Course, Standard Army Maintenance System - Enhanced Course, Anti-Terrorism Officer Basic Course, and Equal Opportunity Leaders Course.

His civilian education includes an associate degree in quality control and non-destructive testing from Spartan College of Aeronautics, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

MSG Muzquiz’s awards and decorations include: eight Army Commendation Medals, six Army Achievement Medals, three Meritorious Unit Citations, five Army Good Conduct Medals, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal (with 2 bronze campaign stars), the Iraq Campaign Medal (with 4 bronze campaign stars), the Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korea Defense Service Medal, the NCO Professional Development Medal (with numeral 4), the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon (with numeral 5), the NATO Medal, the Combat Action Badge, the Driver and Mechanic Badge, the Ordnance Order of Samuel Sharpe Medallion, and the silver German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge.

MSG Muzquiz was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and was raised in Brownsville, Texas. He is married and has three sons.
