Lieutenant Colonel Troyjohn C. Naputi assumed the duties as commander of the 404th Army Field Support Battalion – JBLM in 19 May 2021.
LTC Naputi previously served as the CJ4 Deputy Director NATO Special Operations Component Command-Afghanistan and CJ4 Director for Special Operations Joint
Task Force-Afghanistan, in Kabul since from May 2020.
His previous Field Grade assignments include: Senior Adjudicator to the Physical Evaluation Board-Joint Base Lewis-McChord Washington, Battalion Executive Officer
and 2nd CAB BLST Chief to AFSBn-Korea Camp Humphreys ROK, Brigade S4 to 214th Fires BDE-Fort Sill Oklahoma, and Operations Officer to the 505th Quartermaster Battalion (POL)-Chibana Okinawa.
He graduated from the University of Guam with a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology and was commissioned on 2 June 2002, at the rank of second lieutenant in the Armor Corps. He also holds a master’s degree in International Relations from Webster University.
LTC Naputi’s military education includes Armor Officer Basic Course, Logistics Captains Career Course, Command and General Staff College (Resident), Airborne School, Aerial Delivery Management Officers Course, Support Operations PH I & II, and the Petroleum Officers Course.
During his career he served overseas in Korea, Germany, and Okinawa. He has three year-long operational deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
His decorations and badges include the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Combat Action Badge, the Parachutist Badge, the Rigger Badge, and the German Proficiency Badge (Gold).
LTC Naputi is married and they have three sons..
