Sergeant Major Roddue D. Hamilton assumed duties as the senior enlisted advisor of the Army Field Support Battalion-Hood July 2021.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army in August 2002 and attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Due to his successful civilian career as commercial truck driver and supervisor, he was not required to attend the Advanced Individual Training and was awarded the military occupational specialty 88M, motor transport operator, through the Army Civilian Acquired Skills Program .

SGM Hamilton deployed four times in support of combat operations in Iraq.
His military education includes: the Basic Leaders Course, the Anti-Terrorism Personnel Security Firearms Course, the Small Arms Instructor Course, the Advanced Leaders Course, the Staff Evasive Drivers Course, the Drill Sergeant Course, the Army Basic Instructor Course, the Senior Leaders Course, the Master Resiliency Trainer Course, the Battle Staff, and the Sergeants Major Course (Class 71).
His civilian education includes an associate degree of liberal arts from Excelsior College, and a bachelor's degree in leadership and work force development from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

SGM Hamilton is a native of Ocala, Florida. He is married and they have one son.
