Sergeant Major Brian Creed assumed the duties as sergeant major of the 403rd Army Field Support Battalion-Korea in October 2021.
He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in January 1999. Upon his Honorable Discharge in 2003 and brief time as a civilian, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in April 2004 as a wheeled vehicle mechanic. He attended Basic Training at Parris Island Recruit Depot, South Carolina; Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, North Carolina, and Advanced Individual Training at Camp Johnson, North Carolina.
SGM Creed served as a team leader, squad leader and platoon sergeant in both the Marine Corps and the Army. He has served as a wrecker NCOIC, shop foreman, company motor sergeant, special operations recruiter, small group leader and senior small group leader, division maintenance supervisor, and first sergeant. His stateside assignments include Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; Fort Hood, Texas; Fort Gordon, Georgia; Fort Benning, Georgia; Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and Fort Bliss, Texas. His overseas assignments include Okinawa, Japan; Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He has deployed twice to Iraq, and once to Kuwait for combat and training missions.
SGM Creed’s military education includes the Marine Corps Organizational Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Maintenance Courses; Marine Corps Martial Arts Program Tan and Grey Belt Courses; Motor Pool Operations Management Course; Commander’s Total Fitness Course; Combatives Level 1 Course; Primary Leadership Development Course; Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course; Total Army Instructor Training; Small Group Instructor Training; Army Recruiting Course; Basic Airborne Course; Civil Affairs Assessment and Selection Course; Support Operations Course Phase 1; Master Resilience Trainer Course; Tactical Information Operations Planners Course; and Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt Courses. SGM Creed is a graduate of the Sergeants Major Course Class 71.
His civilian education includes an associate degree, a bachelor’s degree, and a Master’s of Arts in political science from American Military University.

SGM Creed was born in Tampa, Florida. He is married and has one son.
