Master Sergeant Anthony R. Mangler became the senior enlisted adviser with the
Army Field Support Battalion-Southwest Asia May 6, 2025.
MSG Mangler previously served with the AFSBn-Kuwait as the Maintenance
Management noncommissioned officer.
In 2007, he enlisted in the Army, attended Basic Training and Advance Individual
Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, where he was awarded the specialty then
known as 63B, wheel mechanic, which later became 91B, all wheel mechanic.
MSG Mangler has served in various positions such as a wheel recovery operator, team leader, quality
assurance/quality control inspector, unscheduled/scheduled maintenance noncommissioned officer in charge,
squad leader, and section/platoon sergeant. And has served 21 months total with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
MSG Mangler has been assigned to the following units: 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry
Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia; 1st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort
Campbell, Kentucky; B Troop, Regimental Support Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany; 1st
Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd IBCT Abn, Grafenwoehr, Germany; B Company, 7th Army NCO
Academy; Joint Armament Facility, C Company, Support Battalion, 1st Special Warfare Training Group
(Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
MSG Mangler is currently working towards his bachelor’s degree in supply chain management from the
University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
MSG Mangler’s military education includes the Basic Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior
Leaders Course, Basic Airborne Course, Air Assault Course, Equal Opportunity Leaders Course, Combat Life
Savers Course, Wheel Recovery Course, Parts Records Clerk Course, Maintenance Manager Course, Common

MSG Mangler was born and raised in Germany. He is married and has two sons.
