AT Awareness Month Information
  • Purpose. Instill army-wide heightened awareness and vigilance to prevent terrorist attacks and protect army critical resources from acts of terrorism.
  • End state. Soldiers, leaders, DA civilians, family members, retirees, and army contractors understand the key antiterrorism concepts, principles, roles, responsibilities, protection measures and suspicious activity reporting procedures. Continue to strengthen military and civilian/host nation partnerships.
  • Terrorism is an enduring, persistent, worldwide threat to our nation and our army in conus and overseas environments.
  • Antiterrorism is the defensive element of our fight against terrorists.
  • Members of our army must seek knowledge of the threats and heightened awareness to detect terrorist activities. These actions are critical to sustain vigilance and successfully provide the advanced warning Needed to defend against the full range of terrorist tactics.
