Army Sustainment Command (ASC) provides globally responsive strategic logistics capabilities and materiel readiness to enable Combatant Commanders to conduct the full range of military operations. ASC is the Army Materiel Command's (AMC) single face to the field and synchronizes and executes logistics. ASC is the Army materiel enterprise’s decisive edge generating sustainment readiness from the strategic support area to the tactical point of need.

One of Army’s most famous noncommissioned officers who has helped Soldiers for decades will be inducted into the Ordnance Corps’ Hall of Fame class of 2024. Master Sgt. Half-Mast McCanick, known to many as the preventive maintenance and supply subject-matter expert in “PS Magazine”, will be inducted into the Historical Category. The induction ceremony is slated for May 2024.
For every suicide, 135 lives are profoundly affected by the loss. This sobering statistic underscores the importance of addressing a heavy but necessary topic during September, which is Suicide Prevention Month. While many are familiar with the resources available for suicide prevention, a lesser-known subject is what's available and how to assist those coping with the loss of a family member, friend or coworker that has died by suicide.
Two Soldiers completed their distinguished careers during an installation quarterly retirement ceremony here Sept. 8 in Heritage Hall. The event paid tribute to the Soldiers’ combined 45 years of national service.
On a rainy Monday morning, the RIA community and members of the public gathered in Heritage Hall for a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, Sept. 11. The ceremony honored the first responders, service members and DOD Civilians who lost their lives in the attack, as well as those who have died in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
In response to the ever-growing and evolving world of dietary supplements, the DOD and the U.S. Army have embraced the importance in providing information and resources to service members. This information is aimed at enhancing their knowledge of the risks of dietary supplements, and the effects ingredients in some of these products can pose to individual safety and readiness.

Two U.S. Army Sustainment Command employees have been honored for their outstanding contributions in the Office of Small Business Programs-Rock Island. Ryan Pierce and Wendy Streeter were both recognized during the Small Business Training Week in Baltimore, Maryland at the end of June .

The U.S. Army Sustainment Command – Headquarters and Headquarters Company, bid farewell to Maj. Rylie DeLong and welcomed Maj. Jessica Carr in a change of command ceremony here at historic Quarters One, Aug. 11.
This Permanent Change of Station season is shaping up to be a pivotal moment in the realm of relocations. Additionally, other changes are underway to enhance future moves and the overall experience for military personnel and their families.

For the last 15 years, Dennis Donald has been safeguarding U.S. Army Sustainment Command against security and terroristic threats. He manages the Command Physical Security and Antiterrorism programs, a crucial role that gains prominence during August's Antiterrorism Awareness Month.
