Command Sergeant Major

Command Sergeant Major Delano S. Talley assumed the duties as Command Sergeant Major of the 402nd Army Field Support Brigade June 2017. CSM Talley’s previous assignments include, Recovery Operator 2nd Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, 8 th Infantry Division Baumholder, Germany; Senior Mechanic 1 st Battalion, 41st Field Artillery, 24rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia; Drill Sergeant 143rd Ordnance Battalion, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland; Motor Sergeant 2 nd Battalion, 17th Field Artillery, 2nd Infantry Division Camp Hovey, South Korea; Production Recruiter and Station Commander Spartanburg Recruiting Station, Columbia Recruiting Battalion; First Sergeant 1st Battalion, 10th Field Artillery 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Georgia; G3 Sergeant Major 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, Camp Henry, South Korea; Acting Command Sergeant Major and Chief Instructor 554th Engineer Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; G4 Division Maintenance Sergeant Major 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado; and Command Sergeant Major 203rd Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Georgia; and as the G3 Sergeant Major 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, Camp Henry, South Korea.

His military and civilian education includes: All levels of Noncommissioned Officer Education; Drill Sergeant School; Basic Recruiter Course; Recruiter Station Commander Course; Basic Instructor Course; Operational Contracting Support; System Approach to Training; United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Command Sergeants Major Course. He also has a Bachelor in Resource and Technology Management from Troy University. Masters of Art in Leadership Studies University of Texas El Paso and Masters of Art Procurement and Acquisition Management with a Graduate Certificate in Government Contracting Webster University. 

CSM Talley has served in every enlisted leadership position ranging from Team Leader to Command Sergeant Major throughout his career. Numerous combat tours in support of Operation Desert Storm, Intrinsic Action Kuwait, Vigilant Warrior Kuwait, Operation Restore Hope Somalia, three tours Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan.
