Visiting the Archives

If you are wanting to visit the Rock Island Arsenal Archives, please be sure to select the option in the form above.  All visitors to the Rock Island Arsenal Archives must be accompanied by a DoD representative.  There also needs to be someone present to let you into the facility.  A time will need to be negotiated prior to your arrival.  Patrons who do not have a military ID will be required to obtain a visitors pass from the Rock Island Arsenal Visitor Access and Control Center.  Additional information on obtaining a visitors pass and visiting Rock Island Arsenal can be found below.

The ASC History Office is the final release authority on all content contained within the Rock Island Arsenal Archives.  All materials within the archive must be kept within the facility.  Copies of materials may be made with the approval of the accompanying DoD official.  The archives are located below the Rock Island Arsenal Museum in Building 60, Basement Northeast.  Routing to the facility will be provided at the time where your appointment is agreed upon.  Some inquiries may require your on-site presence, depending on the nature.  A representative from the ASC History Office will inform you of this should it occur.
