Army Sustainment Command (ASC) provides globally responsive strategic logistics capabilities and materiel readiness to enable Combatant Commanders to conduct the full range of military operations. ASC is the Army Materiel Command's (AMC) single face to the field and synchronizes and executes logistics. ASC is the Army materiel enterprise’s decisive edge generating sustainment readiness from the strategic support area to the tactical point of need.

Did you know that Rock Island Arsenal is the birthplace of the American heavy tank? Between 1919 and 1920 RIA employees built the first American-made heavy tanks, known as the Mark VIII. Now, a little over 100 years later, present-day Arsenal workers have restored one of those tanks, and it is now on display here.
The Army Food Modernization Program is and will be offering different options to meet the needs of Soldiers. It’s an ambitious and evolving program designed to provide nutritional food, boost morale and welfare, assist in recruiting and retention, and advance unit cohesion across the Army to keep Soldiers in top fighting shape with applied 21st century ideas and concepts.
Nearly 1 million military spouses serve alongside their loved ones in uniform. These spouses face unique challenges, such as completing permanent change of station moves every two to four years and dealing with the struggles that come with that, for example, having damaged or missing household goods. One military spouse, Chalon Conley-Mosley, a former claims advisor and current quality assurance/quality control inspector with the 403rd Army Field Support Brigade Logistics Readiness Center-Daegu has been working hard to support Soldiers and military families with one of the most stressful parts of military life… PCS moves.
Two Battalions from Camp Henry’s 403rd Army Field Support Brigade received a prestigious award during a ceremony on here the morning of April 18th. The Army Field Support Battalion – North East Asia and The Army Field Support Battalion – Korea placed first and second, respectively, in the Army Award for Maintenance Excellence’s Tables of Distribution and Allowances Units category, marking the sixth time AFSBn-NEA has taken home this award. AFSBn-Korea has also won the award three times.
Imagine you wake up tomorrow and find out that you are no longer a citizen of the country you were born, and your family had lived in for generations. That was the reality Ralph Troll’s mother faced on Sept. 15, 1935.
Put yourself in the place of a Soldier. You’re stationed at one of the approximately 100 installations in the continental United States (CONUS), or the nearly two dozen formal Army installations outside of the continental U.S. (OCONUS). No matter where you are, the U.S. Army Sustainment Command is there with you.
Between bouts of freezing rain in the morning and a severe hailstorm in the afternoon, the skies opened up and spirits shined bright on the 405th Army Field Support Brigade during its assumption of command ceremony, April 24. Army Col. Ernest J. Lane II assumed command of the 405th AFSB at the ceremony, which was held on NCO Field at Daenner Kaserne in Kaiserslautern and attended by dozens of distinguished guests and visitors, plus friends and family of Lane.
Every organization, whether it is private or government, has people working for it. Therefore, every organization needs a section that is dedicated to taking care of employees’ needs. In the U.S. Army this organization is called the G1, or personnel office.
The U.S. Army Sustainment Command has a diverse workforce with talent coming from Soldiers, Army Civilians and contractors bringing in a wealth of knowledge and experience. Some of those people also bring with them the experience as members of the Army Reserve, which celebrates its 116th birthday April 23. This year’s theme is “Today's Army Reserve: Building critical skills for the Nation.”


Integrate and synchronize key elements of the sustainment enterprise in order to deliver capabilities in support of Army forces during Joint All-Domain Operations.
