Army Sustainment Command (ASC) provides globally responsive strategic logistics capabilities and materiel readiness to enable Combatant Commanders to conduct the full range of military operations. ASC is the Army Materiel Command's (AMC) single face to the field and synchronizes and executes logistics. ASC is the Army materiel enterprise’s decisive edge generating sustainment readiness from the strategic support area to the tactical point of need.

Between bouts of freezing rain in the morning and a severe hailstorm in the afternoon, the skies opened up and spirits shined bright on the 405th Army Field Support Brigade during its assumption of command ceremony, April 24. Army Col. Ernest J. Lane II assumed command of the 405th AFSB at the ceremony, which was held on NCO Field at Daenner Kaserne in Kaiserslautern and attended by dozens of distinguished guests and visitors, plus friends and family of Lane.
Every organization, whether it is private or government, has people working for it. Therefore, every organization needs a section that is dedicated to taking care of employees’ needs. In the U.S. Army this organization is called the G1, or personnel office.
The U.S. Army Sustainment Command has a diverse workforce with talent coming from Soldiers, Army Civilians and contractors bringing in a wealth of knowledge and experience. Some of those people also bring with them the experience as members of the Army Reserve, which celebrates its 116th birthday April 23. This year’s theme is “Today's Army Reserve: Building critical skills for the Nation.”
An Army Food Program assessment team consisting of representatives from the Army Center of Excellence, Subsistence; U.S. Army Materiel Command; and, the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, conducted a recent site visit to multiple warrior restaurants in Baumholder and Kaiserslautern, Germany.
The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, has produced alumni that have distinguished themselves in a variety of careers, including politics, professional athletics, best-selling authors, and business. However, it is in military service, that The Citadel has distinguished itself the most.
Members of the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, G4 (Logistics), Readiness Division traveled to Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico, to inspect the command supply discipline program and the command maintenance discipline program at the installation’s Logistics Readiness Center Jan. 29 to Feb. 2.
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – It’s the season of New Year’s resolutions, health goals and more – and the newest Transformation Tuesday series “Your Guide to Lifestyle Change,” aims to assist in making those goals a reality.
