Command Sergeant Major Patrick E. Superales assumed duties as the command sergeant major of the 401st Army Field Support Brigade in May 2023.
He is a native of Yigo, Guam, and hails from Lacey, Washington. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in February 1999 and attended Basic Training at Fort Benning, Georgia, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gregg-Adams (formerly Fort Lee), Virginia, where he graduated as an automated logistical specialist.

He holds an associate degree in supply chain management from Coastline Community College, a bachelor of management studies, University of Maryland Global Campus, and a Master of Business Administration, University of Mary, North Dakota.
