Command Sergeant Major Patrick E. Superales assumed duties as the command sergeant major of the 401st Army Field Support Brigade in May 2023.

He is a native of Yigo, Guam, and hails from Lacey, Washington. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in February 1999 and attended Basic Training at Fort Benning, Georgia, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gregg-Adams (formerly Fort Lee), Virginia, where he graduated as an automated logistical specialist.

CSM Superales’ military and civilian education includes Infantry Mortar Leader Course, Small Arms Instructor Course, Combatives Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, First Sergeant Course, and the Sergeants Major Resident Course. He holds an associate degree in supply chain management from Coastline Community College, a bachelor of management studies, University of Maryland Global Campus, and a Master of Business Administration, University of Mary, North Dakota.

CSM Superales’ awards and decorations include: Meritorious Service Medal (three oak leaf clusters); Army Commendation Medal (two oak leaf clusters); Army Achievement Medal (three oak leaf clusters); Good Conduct Medal (seventh award); National Defense Medal (one star); Korea Defense Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Global War and Terrorism Service Medal; Iraqi Campaign Medal; Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 5), Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 4), Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon (Numeral 2), Army Service Ribbon and the Combat Action Badge.

CSM Superales is married to the former Jessica Wright, and they have one child. His hobbies include reading books, running, playing chess, and traveling.
