Let's Talk Transportation

The Quad Cities is a transportation hub that connects major neighboring metropolitan areas. Here's some transportation and travel information that may be helpful for you.  Remember, it is your responsibility to coordinate and complete your travel.  Make sure you save your receipts so that you can make appropriate travel claims when you in-process.

Local Public Transportation Services

On both the Iowa and Illinois sides of the river, there are various public transportation services. Illinois is serviced by MetroLink, whereas Iowa has local city transportation routes. Click on the map to see a higher resolution image of the transportation map or see below for additional information on various public transportation systems.

In addition, several services route ground transportation through the area.  These are listed below.

Before You Arrive

You will want some information regarding gates, and navigation around the installation. There are three gates that each have their own hours of operation.

  • Moline (Main) Gate: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Rock Island Gate: M-F 0530-2230 (Outbound only 2230-0000), Weekends 0800-2100
  • Davenport Gate: Outbound to Iowa Only M-F 1400-1730

Note: Rock Island and Davenport Gates are closed on all Federal Holidays.  Rock Island Gate is open on Memorial Day and Veteran's Day.
