Colonel Brandon J. Hill assumed command of the 401st Army Field Support Brigade on June 3, 2024.

He most recently served as the Agency Synchronization Operations Center director at Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

He has deployed as the maintenance advisor, 5th Motorized Transportation Regiment (Iraqi), Balad Ruz, Diyala Province, Iraq; commander, Forward Support Company, 4th Engineer Battalion, to both Iraq and Afghanistan (as part of the first time a battalion-size element conducted an intra-theater deployment since World War II); and battalion S3, 49th Transportation Battalion to Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Iraq.

COL Hill’s military education includes the Ordnance Officer Basic Course, Theater Logistics Studies Program and Intermediate Level Education, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.

He commissioned as an Ordnance Officer in 2002 upon graduation from Officer Candidate School, Fort Benning (known as Fort Moore since 2023), Georgia. COL Hill holds a Bachelor of Science in occupational education from Wayland Baptist University and a Master of Science in logistics management from the Florida Institute of Technology.

His awards and decorations include two Bronze Star Medals, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, three Meritorious Service Medals, Joint Service Commendation Medal, four Army Commendation Medals, Joint Service Achievement Medal, three Army Achievement Medals, two Joint Meritorious Unit Awards, Valorous Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Superior Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, and the Air Assault Badge. He is a recipient of the Ordnance Order of Samuel Sharpe and the Military Order of Saint Christopher.

COL Hill is married, and they have four children.
