Lieutenant Colonel Eric J. Erickson assumed command of the Army Field Support Battalion-Alaska on June 24, 2025.
He previously served as the deputy director of Logistics at Special Operations Command North, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
LTC Erickson’s command assignments include Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 121st Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade, 1st Armored Division; Forward Support Company, 3rd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne); Distribution platoon leader and Forward Support Company executive officer, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division and deployed as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom 06-08; Transportation platoon leader, A Company, 123rd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division and deployed in support of OIF 09-10; deputy Support Operations officer, Group Support Battalion and 3rd Battalion S4 (Logistics) with 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) with a deployment to Africa; assistant professor, Military Science, University of Pittsburgh; deputy Operations officer, 402nd Army Field Support Brigade, Support Operations officer and executive officer, Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii; and U.S. Army Pacific G5 (Plans) Logistics Posture planner.
LTC Erickson commissioned into the Quartermaster Corps upon graduation from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale. His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science in business and administration from SIU - Carbondale and a Master of Arts in higher education administration from the University of Louisville.
His military education includes the Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, Logistics Captains Career Course, Command and General Staff College, and Joint Combined Warfighting School.
LTC Erickson’s awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, five Meritorious Service Medals, Joint Service Commendation Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, Joint Service Achievement Medal, two Army Achievement Medals, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Parachute Rigger Badge, Ranger Tab, and Arctic Tab.
LTC Erickson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is married with four children.
