LTC Marissa M. Reed



Lieutenant Colonel Marissa M. Reed assumed command of the Army Field Support Battalion Northeast Asia on June 30.

She most recently served as Branch Chief, J5 Deliberate Plans Division, U.S. Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

Her other assignments include: Branch Chief, Mobility Division and Logistics Plans Officer, Plans Division, U.S. Army South G4 Directorate, Fort Sam, Houston, Texas; Chief, Operational Contract Support (Deployed), Bagram, Afghanistan, 1st Cavalry Sustainment Brigade, Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood), Texas; Battalion Executive Officer, 1st Battalion, 393rd Brigade Support Battalion, North Fort Cavazos, Texas; Brigade S 4, 166th Aviation Brigade, Fort Cavazos, Texas; Supply & Services Officer, 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, Camp Henry, South Korea; Intel & Sustainment Company Commander and G4 Current Operations Officer, U.S. Army South, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Military Transition Team Advisor (Deployed), 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Kirkuk, Iraq; Company Operations Officer and Supply Support Activity Platoon Leader (Deployed) Al Asad , Iraq, 574th Supply Company, Mannheim, Germany; Company Executive Officer, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, U.S. Army Garrison, Vicenza, Italy. LTC Reed has deployed in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom (Iraq) and Operations Resolute Support (Afghanistan).

Her military education includes: the Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, and the Command and General Staff College.

Her civilian education includes: a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Public Administration from the University of Guam, Guam, and Master of Science degree in Leadership from Trident University International, California. She commissioned into the Quartermasters Corps, U.S. Army, in 2003 from University of Guam.

Her awards and decorations include: the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, five Meritorious Service Medals, five Army Commendation Medals, three Army Achievement Medals, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Army Superior Unit Award, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Non NATO Medal.

LTC Reed is a native of the island of Guam, U.S. Territory. She is married and has two children.
