Lieutenant Colonel Rosilyn C. Woodard assumed command of the Army Field Support Battalion-Northeast Asia on June 25, 2024.
She most recently served as the executive officer, 403rd Army Field Support Brigade, Camp Henry, South Korea.
LTC Woodard enlisted in the Army in 1994 and went to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, for basic training. In 2005 she commissioned as a transportation officer after graduating from Officer Candidate School.
Her previous assignments include: platoon leader, 3rd Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, Fort Bragg (known as Fort Liberty since 2023), North Carolina; executive officer, 3rd Bn, 82nd CAB, Fort Bragg; Air Movement officer, U.S. Army Central, Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina; Air Movement officer, Fort McPherson, Georgia; commander, 71st Transportation Battalion, Fort Lee (known as Fort Gregg-Adams since 2023), Virginia; Support Operations officer, Area Support Group-Kuwait, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait; S4 (Logistics), 35th Signal Brigade Theater Tactical at Fort Gordon (known as Fort Eisenhower since 2023), Georgia; director of Logistics, Area Support Group-Kuwait, Camp Arifjan.
LTC Woodard has deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2006, 2009 and 2011.
Her military education includes the Basic Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Transportation Officer Basic Course, Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, and Command and General Staff College.
LTC Woodard’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, six Meritorious Service Medals, five Army Commendation Medals, six Army Achievement Medals, five Good Conduct Medals, Afghan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NATO Medal, and the Parachutist Badge.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in management from Upper Iowa University and a master’s degree in theater logistics from the Florida Institute of Technology.
LTC Woodard hails from Los Angeles, California, and has one son.
