Master Sergeant Stephen A. Baker assumed the duties as the senior enlisted advisor of the Army Field Support Battalion-Northeast Asia, 403rd Army Field Support Brigade, Nov. 22, 2024.

He most recently served as the sexual assault response coordinator, 596th Transportation Brigade, Surface Distribution and Deployment Command, Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point, North Carolina.

MSG Baker enlisted in the Army in October 2006 and completed basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He completed advanced individual training as a transportation management coordinator at Fort Eustis, Virginia, March 2007.

His previous assignments include: movement specialist, 138th Movement Control Team, 25th Movement Control Battalion, Osan Air Base, South Korea; movement specialist, Movement Control Company, National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California; Movements noncommissioned officer, 573rd MCT, 43rd Special Troops Battalion, Fort Carson, Colorado; Operations sergeant, Headquarters & Headquarters Company, 43rd Special Troops Battalion, Fort Carson; Movements supervisor, 662nd MCT, 25th MCB, Camp Red Cloud, South Korea; chief Transportation noncommissioned officer in charge, 13th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, Fort Lewis, Washington; Movements supervisor, 140th MCT, Fort Lewis; detachment sergeant, 99th MCT, Fort Eustis.

MSG Baker deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq and Kuwait (2010); Operation Freedom Sentinel Kuwait (2015); and Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Atlantic Resolve, Romania (2018).

His military education includes Transportation Coordinators' Automated Information for Movements System II Joint User; Combatives Course; Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defense Course; TC-AIMS II Unit Movement 1 & 2; Basic Leaders Course (commandant’s list); Army Retention Course; Advanced Leaders Course (distinguished honor graduate); Joint Operation Planning and Execution System Basic Operations Course; Master Driver Trainer; Equal Opportunity Leader Course; Senior Leaders Course (commandant’s list); Commander & First Sergeant Course; Sexual Harassment Assault Response and Prevention Foundation Course; SHARP Coordinator Career Course (honor graduate); Master Leaders Course (honor graduate); and the Demonstrated Senior Logistician certification.

He holds an associate degree in liberal arts from the University of Maryland University College (2016), and he is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in human services from Liberty University.

MSG Baker’s awards and decorations include three Meritorious Service Medals, 11 Army Commendation Medals, 11 Army Achievement Medals, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Army Superior Unit Award, six Army Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, four Noncommissioned Professional Development Ribbons, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal (with Bronze Service Star), Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, five Overseas Service Ribbons, and the Drivers Badge (Wheeled). MSG Baker is also a recipient of the Honorable Order of Saint Christopher Medal.

MSG Baker hails from Tucson Arizona. He is married and they have four children.
