Command Sgt. Maj. Cedric D. Harvey assumed the duties as command sergeant major of the 403rd Army Field Support Brigade on July 14, 2023.
CSM Harvey came to the 403rd AFSB from the 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia, where he served as the division G4 (Logistics) sergeant major. Prior to that assignment, CSM Harvey served as the command sergeant major of the 3rd Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart.
CSM Harvey attended Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee (known as Fort Gregg-Adams since 2023), Virginia, where he earned the military occupational specialty 92Y, unit supply specialist. CSM Harvey has participated in multiple combat operations and humanitarian missions throughout his 26 years of service as a combat support logistician.
CSM Harvey’s military education includes the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, U.S. Army Drill Sergeant School, Global Combat Support System-Army Middle Managers Course, Manpower and Force Management Course, Joint Logistics Course, Master Resiliency Training Course, Support Operations Course, Operational Contract Support Course, Brigade and Battalion Pre-Command Courses and the Sustainment Pre-Command Course.
CSM Harvey’s civilian education includes a bachelor’s degree in business management from Excelsior University and two associate degrees in supply chain management and administrative management from Coastline Community College.

CSM Harvey is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina. He has two daughters, a son-in-law, and a grandson.
