Lieutenant Colonel Brianna Maier assumed command of the Army Field Support Battalion-Lewis McChord June 2023.

LTC Brianna Maier is a career Logistics officer, commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Ordnance Corps in 2004. She previously served as the professor of Military Science and head of the Military Science Department at Seattle University, Washington.

LTC Maier’s initial assignment was with Golf Forward Support Company, 204th Support Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood (known as Fort Cavazos since 2023), Texas, where she served as a maintenance platoon leader. She deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 05-07 with the battalion from November 2005 to November 2006 where she served as the Entry Control Point officer in charge and Provincial Joint Communications Center OIC. Her next assignment was Bravo Company, 704th Support Battalion, 4th Infantry Division that later reflagged to 27th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Cavazos. There she served as the executive officer along with serving as the unit movement officer at the Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk (known as Fort Johnson since 2023), Louisiana, rotation in October 2007 and the National Readiness Center, Fort Irwin, California, rotation in April 2008. She deployed for OIF 08-10 with the 27th BSB from June 2008 to May 2009 where she served as the executive officer, ECP/ Visitor’s Control Center OIC, and director of logistics for Tallil garrison operations, Iraq. After completion of the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course at Fort Lee (known as Fort Gregg-Adams since 2023), Virginia, in March 2010, LTC Maier was assigned to the 61st Ordnance Brigade, now 59th Ordnance Brigade, and took command of Bravo Company, 16th Ordnance Battalion. After command, she served as a logistics operations officer assigned to the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois, from 2012-2015, where she specialized in the Strategic Readiness Update and as a Lead Materiel Integrator Decision Support Tool trainer. Following Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, LTC Maier was assigned to Joint Base Lewis-McChord from June 2016 to June 2019 where she served as the I Corps G4 (Logistics) operations officer, 42nd Military Police Brigade S4, and 13th Combat Sustainment Support Brigade Support Operations officer. Her previous assignment was the Joint Planning Support Element, Joint Enabling Capabilities Command at Norfolk Naval Station, Virginia, where she has held positions as a joint sustainment planner, sustainment team deputy, and executive officer for the JECC commander.

Her military education includes the Ordnance Officers Basic Course, Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, Command and General Staff College, Support Operations Course Phase II, Defense Support to Civil Authorities II, Homeland Defense Certification, Joint Planner (3H), Joint Humanitarian Operations Course, Joint Logistics Course, NATO Logistics Operations Course, and Joint Forces Staff College Joint Professional Military Education II.

LTC Maier earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Basic Science from University of Portland, and a Master of Business Administration in Logistics from Trident University.
