Lieutenant Colonel Timothy P. Gibbons assumed the duties as the commander of Army Field Support Battalion-Campbell in June 2023.

LTC Gibbons entered the U.S. Army in May 2005 after receiving his commission though the University of Scranton ROTC program. His first assignment was as platoon leader and executive officer in Easy Forward Support Company, 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado. LTC Gibbons deployed with this unit to Ramadi, Iraq, as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He deployed again within the same brigade (after transitioning to 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division) to Jalalabad, Afghanistan, as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, serving as the deputy Support Operations officer, 704th Brigade Support Battalion.

LTC Gibbons’ next assignments included company commander for A Company, 193rd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Manuever Enhancement Brigade, 1st Infantry Division; doctrine developer for the Combined Arms Support Command; Brigade Logistics Support team chief for 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division; and Support Operations officer and executive officer for 426th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st ABN DIV. LTC Gibbons deployed with 426th BSB to Taji, Iraq, as part of Operation Inherent Resolve.

LTC Gibbons most recently served as the secretary of the General Staff for the U.S. Army Materiel Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

LTC Gibbons’ military education includes Command and General Staff College, Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, and Transportation Officer Basic Course.

His civilian education includes a Master of Business Administration from The College of William and Mary, Virginia, as part of the Major General James Wright Fellowship Program, as well as a Bachelor of Science in enterprise management technology from The University of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

LTC Gibbons’ awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, two Bronze Star Medals, two Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals, three Army Achievement Medals, the Air Assault Badge, and the Parachutist Badge.

LTC Gibbons is a native of Monroe Township, New Jersey. He is married to Dr. Cassie Gibbons, and they have three children.
