Sergeant Major Michael T. Baldwin Jr. assumed duties as the senior enlisted advisor of the Army Field Support Battalion-Campbell in August 2023.

SGM Baldwin enlisted in the U.S. Army on July 31, 2003, as a petroleum supply specialist. He attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning (known as Fort Moore since 2023), Georgia, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee (known as Fort Gregg-Adams since 2023), Virginia. In September 2009, SGM Baldwin attended AIT again at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and reclassified as a motor transport operator. His current military occupational specialty is transportation senior sergeant. SGM Baldwin’s deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

SGM Baldwin’s assignments include petroleum supply noncommissioned officer, 289th Quartermaster Company, Fort Hood (known as Fort Cavazos since 2023), Texas; section chief, Alpha Company (Forward Support Company), 326th Engineer Battalion, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; squad leader, helicopter landing zone noncommissioned officer in charge and platoon sergeant, Alpha Company, 201st Brigade Support Battalion, Fort Knox, Kentucky; section sergeant and platoon sergeant, Foxtrot Company (FSC), 426th BSB, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; drill sergeant, Bravo Battery (Fitness Training Battery), 95th Adjutant General Battalion, Fort Sill, Oklahoma; senior drill sergeant, Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 40th Field Artillery Regiment, Fort Sill; distribution platoon sergeant, 67th FSC, 2nd Battalion, 20th FA Regt, Fort Sill; operations sergeant major, Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 2nd Battalion, 20th FA Regt, Fort Sill; first sergeant, Golf Company (FSC), 2-1st Infantry Battalion and Bravo Company, 2nd BSB, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington; and, senior talent management NCO, Transportation Branch, Human Resources Command, Fort Knox.

SGM Baldwin’s military education includes Sergeants Major Course (Class 73), Master Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Advance Leader Course, Warrior Leader Course, Army Drill Sergeant Academy, Equal Opportunities Leaders Course, Support Operations Phase II Course, Airlift Planner’s Course, Master Fitness Trainer Course, Master Resilience Training Course, 44-Passenger Bus Training, Master Driver Trainer Course, 80-hour SHARP Course, Army Pathfinder Course, Antiterrorism Officer Basic Course, Sling Load Inspector Certification Course, Low-Cost Low Altitude Certification Training, Combat Casualty Care Course, Technical Transportation of Hazardous Materials, Modern Army Combatives Level I, Transportation Coordinators' Automated Information for Movements System II, Unit Movement Officer, Field Sanitation, Army Air Assault Course, and Fuel Handlers Course. SGM Baldwin holds a Bachelor of Arts in transportation and logistics management from the American Military University.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, three Meritorious Service Medals, Joint Service Commendation Medal, eight Army Commendation Medals, nine Army Achievement Medals, six Army Good Conduct Medals, and the Meritorious Unit Commendation. Additionally, he has earned the Expert Soldier Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Air Assault Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge, and Drivers Badge.

SGM Baldwin is a native of Pensacola, Florida. He is married to the former Danesha Baldwin and has two daughters and one son.
