As part of the Army’s force structure transformation, the Army Field Support Battalion-Drum transitioned from the 10th Logistics Support Element and was activated as a permanent Battalion in October 2009 under the 406th Army Field Support Brigade. The Battalion is comprised of active duty military, Department of the Army (DA) civilians and contractors who are dedicated to supporting the warfighter and the Nation, most notably as they deploy with their supported units.
