Master Sergeant Justin L. Deal assumed responsibility as the senior enlisted advisor of the Army Field Support Battalion-Stewart on Sept. 16, 2024.
His previous assignment was 325th Brigade Support Battalion Operations noncommissioned officer in charge, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
MSG Deal enlisted in the Army in 2003 as a Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic. He completed Basic Combat Training and Advance Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
His assignments include light wheel vehicle mechanic, Schofield Barracks; shop foreman, motor sergeant, Fort Hood, Texas; platoon sergeant, Maintenance Control sergeant, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; senior drill Sergeant, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Maintenance Operations noncommissioned officer, first sergeant, Fort Drum, New York; battalion Operations NCOIC, Schofield Barracks.
MSG Deal’s military education includes the Warrior Leader Course, Advance Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Drill Sergeant Course, Master Fitness Trainer, and Master Resilience Trainer.
MSG Deal is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in sports and health science through American Military University.
His awards include the two Meritorious Service Medals, eight Army Commendation Medals, three Army Achievement Medals, seven Army Good Conduct Medals, Iraqi Campaign Medal (4 Stars), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (3rd award), Army Service Ribbon, and an Overseas Service Ribbon (5th award). He also possesses a Combat Action Badge, Army Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and the Drill Sergeant Badge.
MSG Deal is married and has two children.
