Mission
AFSBn-Alaska (AFSBn-ALK) provides leadership to integrate and synchronize the U.S. Army Materiel Command’s (AMC) materiel enterprise support to U.S. Army Alaska (USARAK) and the Alaska National Guard. AFSBn-ALK provides logistics assistance to commanders confronted with challenges beyond their resources or capabilities. The battalion performs this function through the employment of support operations sections composed of technically proficient Logistics Management Specialists (LMSs) from the Logistics Assistance Program (LAP) and Logistics Assistance Representatives (LARs) from the AMC Life Cycle Management Commands. Their primary mission is to analyze unit materiel readiness and assist in resolving equipment readiness issues.
