Sergeant Major Barrington K. Lemon assumed the duties as the senior enlisted advisor of the Army Field Support Battalion-Korea, 403rd Army Field Support Brigade, Aug. 10, 2022.

SGM Lemon’s most recent assignment was with the Track, Metalworking and Recovery Department, 832nd Ordnance Battalion, Fort Gregg-Adams (formerly Fort Lee), Virginia, where he served as the department sergeant major.

SGM Lemon hails from Queens, New York. He enlisted in the Army Aug. 13, 1997, as a 63B, which converted to 91B, Light Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic.

SGM Lemon has served in numerous leadership positions including: senior mechanic, battalion motor sergeant, senior maintenance supervisor, platoon sergeant, support operations sergeant, senior instructor, first sergeant, and department sergeant major.

SGM Lemon’s assignments include: Headquarters & Support Company, 2nd Battalion, 18th Field Artillery Regiment, Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Bravo Company, 201st Forward Support Battalion, Vilseck, Germany; 224th Military Intelligence Battalion, Hunter Army Air Field, Georgia; Communications Support Detachment, Joint Communications Support Element, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida; Bravo Company, 123rd Brigade Support Battalion, Fort Bliss, Texas; Forward Support Company, 92nd Engineer Battalion, Fort Stewart, Georgia; 210th Fires Brigade and 70th Brigade Support Battalion, Camp Casey, South Korea; and the Track, Metalworking, and Recovery Department, 832nd Ordnance Battalion, Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia and the NCO Leadership Center of Excellence, Fort Bliss, Texas.

SGM Lemon has deployed to Kosovo, Colombia, Afghanistan, and Iraq for combat and peacekeeping operations.

SGM Lemon’s military education includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Education System to include: Combatives Level 1, First Sergeants Course, Instructor Course, and the Operational Contract Course. SGM Lemon is a graduate of the Sergeants Major Course (Class 72).

SGM Lemon holds a Master of business administration and a Bachelor of Science in business from the University of Phoenix.

SGM Lemon’s awards and decorations include: the Meritorious Service Medal (3rd award), the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, (3rd award), the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (6th Award), the Joint Meritorious Unit Award (2nd award), the Meritorious Award, the Army Superior Unit Award, the Army Good Conduct Medal (7th award), the National Defense Service Medal, the Kosovo Campaign Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal-Campaign Star, the Iraq Campaign Medal-Campaign Star (2nd award), the Global War in Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War in Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the NCO Officer Professional Development Ribbon (5th award), the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon (3rd award), the NATO Medal, the Basic Instructor Badge, and the Driver Wheel and Track Mechanic Badge. SGM Lemon is also a recipient of the Ordnance Order of Samuel Sharpe.

SGM Lemon has three children.
